History

created in 1994 by 13 printmakers

who were trying to create a place to work and meet for printmakers

stimulated and assisted by Torben BO Halbirk a printmaker from Paris (France)

they realized their dream thanks to he generous city of Luxembourg

which offered them a room in an old school in Rollingergrund .

The installation (press .....) was bought

thanks to the investments of the founder members

and the help of the "Fonds culturel"from the culturministry from Luxembourg.

Now work could begin: people came etching and printing ,

once a week a course was offered to beginners ,

new members wanted to join ,
visitors came to see the "atelier".

First exhibitions were organized ,

workshops dedicated to special techniques were organized ,

once or twice a year visitor printmakers came to work in the collective studio.....
