Application forms for Indiana Grand Lodge College Scholarships have just been mailed to those 11 members we know to be interested. 11 letters sent to those we suspect might be interested. Each year Hundreds of Scholarships ($1000 or $500) are awarded to young men and women sponsored by Master Mason members of Indiana Lodges. Sponsors must be members in Good Standing of an Indiana Lodge, now or at the time of their death. Applicants must be children, grand children, or step children of a qualified sponsor, planning to attend and maintain a full time student status at a college or university Located in Indiana. Application forms are secured from and processed through the Sponsor's Lodge, which Lodge adds its recommendations before passing it to the Indiana Grand Lodge Scholarship Board which Board makes award decisions. Detailed info at Landmarks WebSite: scholbroch2000.html Jim Hanson is President of Master's and Wardens Assn Worshipful Master Jim Hanson has been elected President of the Actual Masters and Wardens Association of Indianapolis and will serve during the first 6 months of the year 2000. Jim is only the 4th Master of Ancient Landmarks to be so honored since the Association was founded in 1924. Al Tilly was the 2nd president, serving in 1924, so is presumed to be a founding member. WM Neil C. King Senior served in 1929: WM Eli Endsley in 1950. Membership is open to all Master Masons; but Offices are only open to sitting Masters and Wardens of Lodges. Officers serve 6 month terms, timed so that a President sits while he is Master of his Lodge. Assn. monthly meetings are hosted by various member Lodges. They feature a dinner, a well known Masonic Speaker, and short business meeting. Annual dues are $5.00 / yr which doesn't even cover monthly newsletter mailing costs. The Assn publishes an annual directory of member lodges and dues paying members in March. Current price is $3.00 + Postage. Landmarks Honorary Member and Past Master of Pentalpha Lodge No. 564 ( mailto:rucks@in.net t ) (317. 888-6298) is a Past President and new Assn. Secretary. To be listed in the 2000 directory, you had better send him some dues today. Jim Hanson will preside over the following meetings, and urges you to enjoy the fellowship of Masons throughout the city by attending. Dinners begin at 6:30 and cost $5.00. Reservations requested.
