Greetings from the East. March 26, 2000
Greetings Brethren
We are now three months into the year and time is rapidly passing ! We have had several different events to bring the new year in and it has been fun and exciting.
The Father / Son / Friend Dinner was an inspiring event. The evening started with a meal of homemade spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, cherry cobbler, and cherry cheesecake. Speaker, Steve Estel P.M. (Capital City Lodge) discussed Teddy Roosevelt accomplishments. It was very well done ! A good time was had by all.
We hosted the (Grand Master's) Area Conference and had a wonderful turnout. We had sandwiches, chips, peanuts, fruit tray, cheese ball and homemade desserts of angel food cake, cheesecake, cupcakes and brownies. All attending had good food, fun and fellowship ! Special thanks to the Ancient Landmarks Members who assisted in planning, preparing, hosting and cleaning up the event !
The Ladies and Widows luncheon was a spectacular event with beautiful weather. We are grateful for the attendance and support of the widows and ladies to our activities. Topping off the festivities was the presentation of the 50 year award by Past Grand Master William T. Sharp to Thomas Eugene Kramer. Congratulations Gene on this monumental achievement !
All Lodge members and their families (and guests) are invited to dinner and the Awards of Gold (50 yr) Presentation on Monday April 17. Following dinner and the presentation, members are invited and encouraged to participate in the conclusion of the Master Mason Degree work. Please R.S.V.P. for dinner to me at 899-2818. Lodge will open at 5:30 for the first section of Degree Work.
We have several possibilities of degree work coming up. Please contact Dave Geist, PM (241-2220), Dave Johnson , PM (898-3110), or me at 899-2818 concerning degree work scheduling.
We have started this year off with great momentum ! Event participants have been enthusiastic, positive, and had great times ! You and your family are encouraged to attend any and all Lodge functions. We love to make new friends, renew old acquaintances and forge a stronger bond in the spirit of brotherly love.
