Head Coach
Rick Yahr comes to Appleton Diving with over 14 years of coaching experience. He is currently the Head Diving Coach for Lawrence University as well as the Girls diving coach for the Appleton high schools. He has coached at numerous aera high schoools, served as assistant coach with the Brown Deer YMCA / Schroeder Diving program, and was Head Diving Coach for the University Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he led his divers to compete at the national level.
Ricks diving experienec dates back to high school where he held several pool and school records and was ranked as the top diver in the state of Wisconsin. From high school he received a full athletic scholarship to Northern Illinois University. And went on to perform on a professional level with the U.S. High Diving Team where he meet his wife Michele.
Assistant Coach
Michele Yahr began her diving carrer at Appleton West High School and continued on at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she competed for four years. While in college, Michele performed with the U.S. High Diving Team as a professional, show and stunt, diver.
Rick and Michele have completed US Diving's Safety certification, are CPR Certified with the American Red Cross, and are certified US Diving Coaches.
