Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year to all of you! I cannot believe that 2003 is coming to an end. The months fly by so quickly.
We are enjoying this season so much this year. We have 5 incredibly wonderful and healthy sons to share this holiday with. I can't tell you how blessed we feel.
Cameron is doing great. He is just talking up a storm. He now goes to daycare just Monday, Wednesday, Friday (the days that I work) and on Tuesday/Thursday he stays home with me and the babies. We all look forward to those days where we play, wrestle, tumble, laugh, etc. often. He is very excited for Christmas. He hopes to find many things related to Thomas the Tank Engine under the tree. Since he has been such a good boy, I think Santa will not disappoint him.
Cole continues to be our little angel. He has progressed so much in the last few months. We started having physical therapy come to the house 2x a week in October. He is slightly delayed in his large motor skills and our pediatrician thought it wasn't nessesary but that he could benefit from PT to help him crawl/walk earlier. He seems to be about 4 months behind his brothers. Well, he did start crawling last week and it practically brought tears to my eyes the first time he was able to crawl to my lap. Overall he is just so happy to be mobile now with his brothers. A wonderful smile and a laugh that is priceless!
Brandon is... how can I say... wild! He is so active and wants to go everywhere, all the time and cannot wait to get wherever he isn't at that moment. He has started taking steps now towards walking. We will be in trouble when that day comes. Now I at least can catch up to him. He is the most personable of the 4 having no stranger anxiety and often smiles at the eager person in front of him who could pick him up. That is the salesman in him!
Parker has really changed in the last few months as well. Often in the earlier months he would be very suspicious of everyone. Now he smiles regularly and loves to clap. Definately the most sensitive of the group. He hasn't hardened up like his brothers when it comes to defending his own space. Often gets upset when pushed by a sibling. Is the cuddler of the group too. Most likely to be a "mommas boy" for sure!
Nathaniel is still the biggest and isn't shy in showing his strength to his brothers. You won't see him smile as much as the others unless of course you are crawling down with him on the floor and acting as if you are charging. For some reason, this gets him going and he charges back laughing and coaxing you to do some more. His favorite part of the day is when Cameron is in his crib and they play. He'll fall hard against something and it never makes him flinch. Such a touch guy but such a softy inside. Big cuddler as well.
I still work part-time from home for GE. That has been going really well. Carl continues to work at his residency while he plays father to 5 boys who all want his attention when he comes home. He enjoys the "wrestle" times when we are all in the room and for some reason encourages the boys to stick up for themselves when another gets in their way. I would rather just move them away from each other and avoid any confrontation. I'll have a hard time in the future getting my way in my house, I can see that already.
Thanks again to all of our family and friends who have helped us this past year. We have so much to be thankful for.
Have a wonderful new year!
