We had a nice appointment with our local ob/gyn last week. Everything and everyone looked great and we could even see each of the boys already hitting and kicking each other through their amniotic sacs.
We leave for Phoenix tomorrow. Carl, Cameron and I leave in the morning and fly through Baltimore and arrive in Phoenix around 1:00pm Phoenix time. We found an apartment in Phoenix to stay. It is about 10-15 minutes from the hospital. It is in an apartment complex where they were doing renovations throughout the complex and they were offering 3 month cheap leases for the apartments that had not had those renovations yet. It's a 1 bedroom and should work fine for our needs. We are also renting a simple furniture package from a well known furniture rental company. The apartment is in the Biltmore area of Phoenix which from what I was told, is a nice/safe area. After lots of investigating into extended stays/motels, this was a much better deal and seemed to be in a more comfortable setting for Cameron to be around. We will be renting a car while we are out there as well.
Many of you have asked us... What will be the plan then regarding your care? Will I go on bedrest right away? When will I be admitted to the hospital? And we really are not sure until we get out there. Since every woman is different and every pregnancy is different I think Dr. Elliott and his team will make those decisions as the weeks go by. I know I will start getting monitored at least once a week in the beginning for any cervix change which could hint premature labor. I will assume I'll go on at least modified bed rest as I almost am in my 20th week. We will be able to know a lot more once we meet with him on Sept. 24th.
Family and friends have been so wonderful. So many have helped us in various ways to see that we get out to Phoenix smoothly. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!
Below, I have a couple of photos which were taken at my family gathering in Saratoga this past weekend. See you in Phoenix!!
