Advice on Housekeeping that Makes Sense!
Dust if you must but
wouldn't it be better
to paint a picture
or write a letter,
bake a cake or
plant a seed,
ponder the difference
between want
and need?

Dust if you must but
there's not much time
with rivers to swim and
mountains to climb,
music to hear and
books to read,
friends to cherish
and life to lead.

Dust if you must but
the world's out there;
with the sun in your eyes,
 the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow,
a shower of rain-
this day will not come
'round again!

Dust if you must
but bear in mind,
old age will come
and it's not kind;
and when you go
and go you must,
you, yourself, will
make more dust!
Some Advice from a Mother to Her Married Son
~Judith Viorst~

The answer to do you love me isn't,
I married you, didn't I?
Or, Can't we discuss this after
the ballgame is through?
It isn't, Well that all depends
on what you mean by 'love'.
Or even, Come to bed
and I'll prove that I do.
The answer isn't, How can I talk about love
when the bacon is burned and
the house is an absolute mess and
the children are screaming their heads off
and I'm going to miss my bus?
The answer is yes.
The answer is yes.
The answer is yes.
Smile at each other,
smile at your wife,
smile at your husband,
smile at your children,
smile at each other--
it doesn't matter who it is--
and that will help you
to grow up in greater
love for each other.
~Mother Teresa~
Life is full of opportunities. We can choose
to become aware of them or ignore them,
to see their possibilities or set them up as
limitations, to do something with them
or let them pass us by.
The reality you experience is a mirror image
of your expectations.    -Deepak Chopra
