Jenny kissed me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who loves to get
Sweets into your list, put that in:
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,
Say that health and wealth
have missed me,
Say I'm growing old, but add,
Jenny kissed me.

"Why should you care if somehow the world manages to blow itself up a hundred years from now?" you ask me,  "after all we will all be long gone."
But, "Oh YES, I DO CARE!" I reply.  "You see I have children...."
And children
give us a
vested
 interest
in the future.

Forever.
We do not
inherit the
earth from
our ancestors.

We borrow it from
our Children.
               ~ YOU NEVER KNOW ~

 You never know when someone
may catch a dream from you.

You never know when a little word,
or something you may do

May open up a window
of the mind that seeks the light,

The way you live may not matter at all...
but you never know --- it might.

And just in case it could be
that another's life through you

Might possibly change for the better
with a broader brighter view,

It seems it might be worth a try
at pointing the way to the right.

Of course, it may not matter at all,
but then again... it might.
Kind words
can be short
and easy
to speak,
but their
echoes
are truly
endless.

Something to remember....

A hundred years from now
it will not matter what
was in my bank account,
the sort of house I lived in
or the kind of car I drove.
But the future may be different
because I was important
in the life of a child.
