Home School Orchestra

Mary Lynn Quattlebaum has asked Jann Bryant about oportunities for a youth orchestra in Conway. Jann suggested Roshell teach it. Roshell is taking a year off from her graduate work at Penn State. She taught orchestra in the Texas public schools for 2 - 3 years and was working on a graduate degree in music ed when she decided she needed a year off and came back home. She loves working with kids in orchestra and would like to do it. We'd probably charge $175 for the school payable in the fall. Please contact Mary Lynn Quattlebaum soon if your child might be interested in this. Contact her via email at mlq@tcworks.net or via phone at 679-4268. Please pass this information on to any homeschooled student that you know who may be interested.

History of CHEF
Christian Home Educators' Felowship was begun as a fellowship of several families in appoximately 1982-1983. We have grown from a few families to a current membership of over 180 families. Our goal is to provide support, encouragement, and fellowship to home school families. There are many activities available for your child to participate in as well as Teachers' Meetings for moms and dads to attend. For more information about our group or for more information about homeschooling, a newcomer's packet is available at Penny Pincher Printing at 722 Locust in Conway between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. This packet includes a sample newsletter and joining information. It costs $20.00 per year per family to be a member of CHEF. These dues cover the cost of printing and mailing the monthly newsletter during the school year. We have a code of conduct that we ask families to abide by when attending CHEF activities.
