Building My Wife's Daily Driver
Since this is a year-around daily driver there are issues that have to be dealt with. The car has to be good handling, stop, be reliable in all weather, be comfortable, and have enough power to be fun and for me on RACE DAY.
That's not much to ask from a 1962 Nova

This poor car sat from 1988 to 1998 when I got it. Several people learned to drive on it and the abuse continued from there. It's beat and has a 194L6/'Glide

When you're faced with a real mess and you want something nice the first step is to find out what you've got and get ready to make it into something. This means clean it up and to really clean it up you take out every bolt and screw. Tools like wire brushes, laquer thinner, and sandblasters go a long way toward getting there. It also is plain work.

In the process of finding things out, you can find nasty things like a view of the ground where there's supposed to be a floor pan. An air chisel, careful cutting, and full panels from Year One get you started. Once the panels were fitted and tacked with sheet metal screws Rick's Welding came by and stitch welded top and bottom to restore the body integrity.
