ADDENDUM TO OIL-ON-WATERS PAPER

Captain R. K. Worthington of the Submarine USS Tusk dumped diesel oil to still the waves in a successful attempt to rescue the crew of the sinking Submarine USS Cochino. This occurred in the Norwegian Sea on August 24, 1949.
