Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
Menwith Hill/Missile Defence meeting at
Friends Meeting House, Silverwell Street, Bolton
on Thursday 28 February at 7.30pm
Guest speaker: Prof. Dave Webb
Objectives of Bolton CND

The Bolton Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament is a local peace group whose aim is the abolition of war through general and complete disarmament starting with nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.

To this end we campaign for the UK to:
renounce nuclear weapons
withdraw from the NATO nuclear alliance
remain militarily neutral in all wars
refuse to participate in economic sanctions that deny food and medical supplies to civilian populations that have no say over the policies of their government
be wary of participating in the imposition of economic sanctions that do not have UN authorisation and the support of the opposition groups in the country affected

We therefore actively opposed the Falklands War, the Gulf War and the Balkans War  and are currently campaigning against the occupation of Iraq.
