Holtie
Holtie is an unfortunate pony. He lost his papers... ??.. Can you help ???
I can tell you , he was Welsh in every since of the word, having seen him in Person , I believe he was may have been a B , due to his height. Not large .. but appeared bigger than the A's, 1 section A Welsh mare I bought in foal to him, produced a foal that was 12 hands & growing as a yearling !
The story goes as follows ..... He came out of Florida & went to Maine, from Maine he was sold to Dianne Hodge [now deceased] , of Colebrook NH. He then was sold to Stephanie Lyons of NH, then to the Berry family of VT where he was gelded & sold on.
Dianne would never give her sources of who she purchesed him from in Maine, & could not find her paper work that gave his full reg. name. I'm led to believe that perhaps he was never paid in full .. hense the loss of his registration papers. This is a true LOSS to the Welsh pony & to his breeder. As he was an awesome pony & has sired some very nice Welsh true to type , but only eligible for 1/2 papers.
He is a dark bay.
If you have any ideas of where he might have come from , please contact me !!
