Being a relatively new breed, the Cornish Rex is still somewhat rare, but its
popularity is growing. In 1987, the Cat Fanciers' Association registered 589
Cornish Rex making it the 12th most popular breed. In 2001, CFA registered
735 Cornish Rex. Of course, not all Cornish Rex kittens
are registered.
