Wendy found this wool-winder in an antiques store in Victoria. It is completely hand-carved and is held together by dovetails, wood shims and wooden pegs. A previous owner attempted to repair it with with very large nails, screws and scraps of plywood. The hardest part of the restoration was the removal of these "repairs" without destroying the orignial wood parts.
