TaiChi Chuan
Tai Chi Chuan may be the most popular, well known martial art in the world today, but sadly it is the most misunderstood.
Throughout history this style has been kept secret, only being taught to closed-door students (disciples), teaching it to a select few outside of the lineage families, until recently within the arts history.
In the beginning of the 20th century Tai Chi Chuan became mainstream. It being almost a “fad” due to the health benefits Tai Chi Chuan promotes.  Many teachers changed the traditional ways of teaching this martial art in order for many to enjoy it as a past time. This is what we at FSMTKFA like to refer to as the beginning of Tai Chi Wu - “Grand Ultimate Dance”.
Due to the growth of Tai Chi Chuan the style itself has became very incomplete. Many Western and Eastern peoples only studying the form primarily for the health benefits.  Which is a great promotion for the Tai Chi itself, but I am afraid to say that that’s all it is, Tai Chi Wu – not Tai Chi Chuan.
Many people and practitioners alike do not understand that to get the total health benefits from Tai Chi Chuan one must learn the system in its entirety; this is to learn the martial art and the strength exercises that go along with the traditional training.

We at the Five Sacred Mountains Taoist Kungfu Association try to foster a more authentic approach to the Tai Chi Chuan training disciplines by keeping to the “old” ways of training and advancement.
It is our hope that people will become aware of the traditional methods of Tai Chi Chuan, and realize through proper study that they will intern achieve the three blessings. Good Health, Long Life, and Immortality.
