Cemetery is believed to be the oldest Cemetery in the Town of Dryden.
Gretchen NAIL, was
the first child to be buried in this cemetery,
she d. July 2, 1802,
She was the daughter of Henry & Elizabeth (Snyder) Nail,
Gretchen's mother
followed her in death just a short time later, dying Sept. 22, 1802 at
the age of 25 years.

From the pioneer
Alice, through her son Thomas, is descended the numerous Hammond family
of Virgil; and through George and William and his wife, Polly Tanner, come
the now well known law firm of Hammond & Hammond, of Seneca Falls,
NY. From pioneer Alice, through her daughter Amy and her husband
Nathan, and their son Benjamin Wood, and his wife, Mary Bonesteel, are
descended the conspicuous Wood family, of Western Dryden; and through their
daughter Mary Ann, whose husband was the Hon. Ezra Cornell, of Cornell
University fame, comes Ex-Grovernor Cornell.

was born Sept. 22, 1761 in Scotland, he died Oct. 14, 1846 ( he had a will),
his father was Andrew McCutcheon and his mother was Jan Adair. He
married Nancy Robertson, daughter of Robert & Josephine Robertson.
She was born May 10, 1761 and died Oct. 18, 1841. Their children
