I was wondering if your family lines cross. My dad's family came from Cimmina, Sicily. After leaving Italy, most of our family settled in New York. I know it's strange, but one of the photos on your web page strongly resembles my father as a child--perhaps there is a relation. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm looking for Mickey, Tommy and Sammy Priolo. We went to school together in Stuttgart, Germany 1959-'64, their dad was in the army as was mine. They returned from Germany in Aug 1964 and were living in US Army Quarters on Governor's Island, in New York City. Last I knew Mickey & Tommy were in the Army serving in Viet Nam @ 1966, '67 time frame. Anyone with info on them please contact me. We have an orginization known as "Overseas Brats" and so far we have located hundreds of friends and classmates and have had 6 or 7 re-unions around the country. This year is in Pensaxcola Fla. I am writing from Toronto Canada. My grand-parents were from Boiano, Campobasso. There names were Salvatore Priolo and Giacinta Prioriello. My great-grandfather's name was Carmine Priolo and he had three brothers by the name of Pasquale, Giovanni, and Benedetto. One of these brothers moved to Brazil, but I'm not sure which one. I would be interested in finding out if the Priolos from Molise are related to any Priolos in Sicily or Calabria.

Great site! My wife's great-grandfather was Salvatore Priolo. He came from Sicily to Connecticut and married Sara Rollo. They had a daughter named Vitina Ann, born in 1909, as well as a few other kids. Does this sound familiar? Thanks!

My grandfather is Francesco Priola. He came to the US in 1913 with his brother Antonio and his sister Rosaria. Rosaria settled in Ohio. Later, a brother Vincenzo followed. Gaetano stayed behind. We believe they were from Reggio di Calabria. My grandfather changed his name to Muro after he moved to Alabama. There are lots of Priolas here, all of them related to my grandfather. Any information would be appreciated.

There are some Prioli brothers who live in Quincy, MA. They own a gas station - one is named Robert married to a Kathleen (O.Brien) Prioli. Just thought I would tell you. Great web site.

The Priolo/Priola Family

My grandfather, Guiseppi Priolo and his wife Calogara(sp) Barbara were born in Sicily around 1870 or 1880. My grandfather came to the USA around 1904 and my grandmother followed from Palermo on May 6,1905 with three children, the youngest of which was my father. Earlier, my grandmother had to get off the boat when coming from Sicily because she was pregnant with my father, Angelo Priolo who was born in Casteltermini, Province of Agrigento on April 21, 1904. She continued then to the USA and settled with my grandfather in Corona,Queens, New York (NYC). At that time they apparently changed their name to PRIOLA. Although some members of the family kept the name PRIOLO. they had nine children who all lived in New York State. When I was in the US Air Force (since retired) I was stationed in Naples, Italy for six years and had occasion to visit the town of PRIOLO in Sicily which I'm not sure has anything to do with us (??) I am from Calgary, Alberta Canada. My father, Salvatore Priolo, recently was looking into our family tree and dating things back as far as the 1850's. We are missing alot of information. The ancestors that we have been able to trace so far lived in Reggio, Calabria. My Grandfather, Stephano Priolo, came to Calgary in 1953. He took his mothers maiden name as his mother and father were not married. Her name was Rosaria and her parents were Luigi and Caterina Priolo. They were born around the 1850's or 1860's, however we are not sure if they were born in Reggio or Sicily.

It is really great to hear all the history behind the Priolo name. It would be even better to receive some more information that could possible fit into our family tree. If anyone has any information closely linked to mine, please feel free to contact!

My ggrandmother's maiden name was Felicia Priolo. I don't know where she was born, but when my Grandfather, Dominico Ferrazzi was born, they lived in Boiano, in Compobasso, Abruzzi, Italy. My ggrandfather's name was Salvatore Ferrazzi.

I printed out a list of Priolos in Boiano from Telecom Italia/Elenco online. I also printed out a list of Priolos living in the USA from Compuserv white pages.
