JRF Mahrus Sasha was chosen by our daughter to be her 4-H breed production project horse. During her years as a 4-H member, our daughter also showed Sasha in Junior Owner classes in Arabian shows. Determined to train and show Sasha herself, Megan's ultimate dream was that they reach 4-H state competion in Harrisburg. Together they competed in Hunter under Saddle, Hunter Hack, Western Pleasure, Gaming, and, in their last 4-H year, Saddle Seat classes. Megans' dream became reality that final year when the pair competed in Harrisburg "states" in Saddle Seat Equitaion. Sasha has become a family friend, proven show horse, trusted trail horse, and now a teacher of beginning riders.
A Half-Arab Mustang cross by Tall Spruce Shami, Sasha is an example of Shami's ability to pass on his temperament and versatility.

JRF Mahrus Najah, a purebred gelding, has the "look-at-me" presence and conformation to be a superior halter or performance horse. His people-loving personality and extreme intelligence and curiosity made him a favorite of visitors to the farm. Formerly my favorite mount, he is has been purchased as a friend and competitive trail horse.

JRF Mahrus Duq was my personal Country Pleasure show horse. Taken over by my son when he outgrew his Half-Arab pony, Duq adjusted well to his new role as a stock seat horse, even competing in 4-H gaming classes. He also willingly carried family members on trailrides over any terrain. Always the foal "baby-sitter" at the farm, Duq was a long-time family friend and will be sadly missed. (2/10/84--12/15/01)
