Rainfall

The skies are sort of overcast
A little rain will fall
A drink for trees and flowers
To help and make them tall

The grass consumes the rain drops
And turns the greenest green
A rainbow arches up above
To pastel the watery scene

Soon comes the rays of sunshine
The warmth we really need
To penetrate the earthly soil
And give birth to the unborn seed
