In the summer of 2000 I decided to look for a classic car to restore, after a bit of searching I came across a 1978 Eclat Sprint, the car was generally in good condition and was a runner so I decided to drive it home (5 hour drive) the car had a cracked manifold which made it sound horrible and also had electrical/fuel problems and every village I passed through the car insisted on backfiring (very embarrassing).
This is the story of this car's restoration, it started in Janurary 2001 and hopefully will be finished during the Summer of 2002. If you have a look at my progress you'll see I may be a bit optimistic, Christmas 2002 has a nice ring to it! or Summer 2003.......wait 2003 is gone..2004 has passed...upps! there goes 2005... maybe 2006..no..ahh 2007..looks unlikely...
