Students continue their actions demanding Kurdish education. The other day witnessed

canteens. The desks including Kurdish books, magazines and newspapers attracted much
attention.

In Izmir a signature campaign was launched for Kurdish to be recognized as a selective
course.

The students who submitted their petitions to Istanbul University administration and were
turned down the other day, went to the administration yesterday again. 150 petitions

When the administration declined the petitions, nearly 250 student organized a protest
demonstration. Police forces detained 3 students. Today (yesterday) the students will
make a press statement in Human Rights Association Istanbul Branch.

On the other hand YOK was protested by leaflets in Adana Cukurova University. The l

should be guaranteed by the Constitution. We call on all rectors and non-governmental
organizations to support our campaign.”

Marmara University in Istanbul assumed a negative stance following the YOK instruction.
The petitions signed by 150 students were declined by rector.
