KDP Source Denys Barzani's Visit To Turkey The Kurdistan Observer June 12, 2001

A reliable KDP source has denied news suggesting that the KDP president
was heading to Turkey this month, reported the London based Arabic
newspaper, Al Zaman, today.

On June 4, the Daily Turkish News reported that according to a Kurdish
source in Suleymaniya, both Iraqi Kurdish leaders, Barzani and Talabani, have
received an invitation from theTurkish government to jointly visit the Turkish
capital.

The KDP leader has visited Turkey several times. His last official visit to
Ankara was on May 7 of this year.
