ANKARA, Nov 15 (A.A) - Rustu Kazim Yucelen,
the Minister of State said on
Wednesday that there were no short or medium term elements in the Euroepan
Union(EU)
Accession Partnership Accord that Turkey cannot fulfill.
Yucelen who staged a press conference
following the meeting of the Human Rights
Coordinator Supreme Board, said that the issues which were mentioned
in the Accession
Partnership Accord and the report which was previously prepared by
the Human Rights
Coordinator Supreme Board were complementing each other.
Yucelen also urged parliament to spare
one working day for the legislation work to
harmonise Turkish legal system with the EU.
When asked about the statements of Turkish
leaders on Kurdish broadcasts, Yucelen
said the Kurdish broadcasts could be made to tell the truths to the
citizens, taking into
consideration contemporary technology where everybody can receive hundreds
of broadcasts
via satellite dishes.
Pointing out that such a decision should
be taken by the Council of Ministers, Yucelen
said the regulation on radio and television broadcast would also have
to be changed.
``We can prepare such broadcasts in a
month if this decision is taken,`` Yucelen said who
is also in charge of the state-run TRT television channel.
Yucelen stressed that the Kurdish broadcast
issue could only be decided upon with
national consensus and that the Kurdish broadcasts could be received
in the southeastern
region of Turkey via satellite.
``No country that has become a member
of the European Union has split up,`` said
Yucelen, adding that they were sensitive on the unitary state structure
of Turkey.
