ATHENS, Nov 19 (AFP) Greek police arrested 125 Kurdish illegal immigrants over the
past 24 hours, including nine children, the Greek shipping ministry said Sunday.

Port police on the Aegean island of Mykonos arrested 63 Kurdish illegal immigrants, including
nine women and five children, who had just disembarked from a small boat, the ministry said.

Port authorities were still searching for the boat and the smugglers, a day after authorities in
Laurion near Athens arrested two smugglers and their cargo of 62 Kurdish illegal immigrants.

Early Sunday, 74 illegal immigrants from Iraq were arrested at the Greece-Bulgaria border, the
 Bulgarian interior ministry said.

Bulgarian authorities said the Iraqis would be sent to Greece.

Greek port authorities have arrested 3,840 illegal immigrants and 147 smugglers since the start
of the year, with 45 ships being seized, Greece's shipping ministry said.
