Syrian Government Detains A Kurdish Poet And Writer.

(The Kurdistan Observer) Aug 29, 2001.A source contacted the Kurdistan 
Observer today suggesting that  "The prominent Kurdish poet and writer Mr.
Mihemed Hemo has been detained by the Syrian secret police for the last two
days. 

The fate and the whereabouts of Mr. Hemo are not known. 

Mr. M. Hemo owns a bookshop called Bedirxan Bookshop in Aleppo."
