KRG Delegation visit to the EU

From 5 ­ 7 June 2001, A Kurdistan Regional Government delegation headed by H.E.
Nechirvan Barzani, prime minister will meet and discuss with Belgium and Netherlands
governments issues pertaining to the present status and future of the Iraqi-Kurdistan
following 10 years Œde-facto¹ existence.

The delegation includes Hoshyar Zebari, Director of International Relations Bureau of
Kurdistan Democratic Party ­ KDP, Dr. Shafiq Qazzaz, Minister of Humanitarian Aid &
Co-operation, Safeen Dizayee, KDP representative in Ankara and Burhan Jaf, Head of
KRG-EU mission in Brussels.

During the visit, the delegation will meet with the Belgium ministry of Foreign Affairs, the
Flemish parliament, the Belgium Federal parliament, committee of foreign affairs in the
European parliament, the Green/ALE and SPE group at the European parliament.

The delegation will also meet the foreign affairs commission of the Dutch parliament as
well as officials at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
