Gang of white youths attack Kurd
Some asylum seekers have had to be moved in the past Police on Humberside

appealing for witnesses to a racially-motivated attack by a gang of
up to 20 white
youths.
A Kurdish man was badly hurt during the attack in Hull.
The 22-year-old was slashed across the neck with a knife after being
approached by the
youths.
The gang emerged from Pearson Park in the north of the city and began
to shout racial
abuse at their victim.
Series of attacks
The victim had been walking with another Kurdish man at 0200 BST on
Sunday when he
was attacked.
He lost a large amount of blood and later needed stitches to his neck,
but has since
been released from hospital.
Police are particularly keen to trace two males who phoned an ambulance
after the incident,
which happened on Princess Avenue. In the past, there has been a series
of violent
attacks on asylum seekers in Hull.
Some have had to be moved from Hull to Sheffield for their own safety.
