British Government Renews Commitment to Protect
Iraqi Kurdistan

Tony Blair, the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Labour Party, renewed
the
commitment of the British Government to protect Iraqi Kurdistan.
The Prime Minister told this to the First Secretary of Kurdistan Regional
Government
(KRG-Arbil) representation, Hoshyar Zebary during a special meeting
of the Labour Party.
Hoshyar Zebary conveyed the greetings of the Barzany, the leader of
Kurdistan Democratic
Party (KDP), and Nechervan Barzany, the Prime Minister of Kurdistan
Regional
Government to the Prime Minister, Tony Blair. As well as meeting the
Prime Minister,
hoshyar Zebary also met many Ministers of the British Government.
The First Secretary of Kurdistan Regional Government representation,
Hoshyar Zebary, in
London, also discussed the question of strengthening the relationships
between both sides.
He also met the organisation for the defence and security of Britain.
The role of Britain in
enforcing the no fly zone was discussed. He conveyed to the British
Officials the general
view that peace in Middle East depends on the peace in Kurdistan.
