Road
Running Canada aims to recognize and promote road running in Canada. It
focuses on Canadian athletes and events. It aims to recognize the
achievements of Canadian athletes at the national and international level
and to promote road running through the reporting of events in Canada. Road
Running Canada also aims to serve road runners by providing information to
assist them participate in the sport.
PEOPLE
JENNIFER
MACDONELL
Jennifer has been
running competitively since 1994. She has won races from the 10K to the
marathon. She won the Manitoba Marathon in 1998. Now competing as a
Masters, you can often see her name at the top of the Masters list. Before
running she competed in triathlons and represented Canada at the World
Championships in her age group for 4 years. Jennifer also coaches a few
runners of various abilities.
NORMAN
MARCOTTE
Norman started as a
triathlete in 1987 and slowly gravitated exclusively towards running. He
has been involved in the running community in various capacities almost
from the beginning. He has been a race director, a newsletter editor, a
running course instructor, as well as a coach. He is more of a pack runner
than a leader in races.

operates through Marcan Coaching Services, set up by Norman and Jennifer to
provide coaching services. For people interested in supporting Canadian
road running and runners, you can send your donations to Marcan Coaching

runners. Anyone making a donation of $20 or more will receive the training
book "PLAN ON RUNNING YOUR BEST", which includes a 1 year log
