Minnesota's Public Libraries
Top 10 reasons romance readers should use their local library:
~They're free!
~If you don't like a book even after reading it 5 times... return it.
~For those of you who can't put down a book, no matter how bad it is: libraries are a good way to allow yourself to "just stop"... don't make yourself read it, just tell yourself "it was due back at the library".
~Have you ever wanted to buy a book or read a new author, but need a guarantee you'll like it? Well, check it out instead, then if you like it, you can always buy it later.
~Most libraries have large print materials
~Have you ever listened to a romance novel audiobook?
~Librarians have access to a lot of information, and can help you find JUST THAT romance you've been looking for. If they're not helpful because of an apparent "anti-romance" bias (either overtly by saying stupid things, OR by default because they have no clue about romance novels and obviously haven't kept up) REPORT THEM TO US!  Let us know about the good librarians, too!
~Sometimes its the easiest place to find out-of-print materials.  If they don't own the book, ask for an 'Inter-Library Loan"...they can get books from all over the world!
~Has your favorite author ever said something really stupid, like:"Romance pays the bills... I can't afford to take the risk & write "real books" like I want."  BOYCOTT YOUR AUTHOR, BUT STILL GET TO READ HER BOOKS!
~When you hang out in the romance section, you get to meet other romance readers; Sometimes there's even a romance bookclub!
