Out of place
Out of time
Out of sight
Out of mind

The Stranger walks alone
In a strange land
That he will never call home

If you have ever sympathized with Puck in Shakespeare's A Mid-summer Nights Dream (Ah what fools these mortals be!), then you know what I mean about being a stranger in a strange land. The things that people do at times completely mystify me. The way they act towards one another. It's completely unfathomable at times. There are so many times I just want to rise above it all and just not be a part of it. A lot of people here are downright cruel. And I'm not only talking about the world at large but in interpersonal relationships too.

I want to run through the halls of my high school
I want to scream at the top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
just a lie you've got to rise above

-John Mayer "No Such Thing"

A note about the Heinlein story.
