A great crag for introducing climbers to the sharp end, Pixie Corner includes several great climbs in very close proximity. Peter Mede (left) pulls the final mantel crux on Joe's Crack, 5.9, while Adriana Rossi gets started on Davy Jones' Locker, 5.7. Pixie Corner was my first lead back in 1997: it was early in the season, February, and we were lucky enough to get a few days of extraordinary weather during which I learned the fine art of the sharp end (left). During the summer of 1999 Adriana came out from Montreal for a visit and Pixie was her first 5.8 where she caught herself on a pinky jam at the crux (right). |
