The Little Smoke Bluffs:

Neat & Cool

Home to some of the most hallowed of Squamish classics, Neat & Cool can be somewhat crowded due to the ease with which most routes can be TR and the fact that it houses Neat & Cool 5.10a, Flying Circus, 5.10a (climber above), & Cat Crack, probably the best 5.6 in Squamish.  A run up Pink Flamingo, 5.10b or Corn Flakes, 5.6 can also be quite enjoyable.

NEAT & COOL, 5.10a

Moi on Neat & Cool about to make the mistake of traversing too high...

Low down on the climb (left) I managed a couple of good pieces of gear...bomber gear abounds throughout this classic.  Brian trying to pink-point the climb on my gear (right): a long draw before the crux section never hurts...

CAT CRACK, 5.6

A true classic moderate, Cat Crack, 5.6, starts about 50' off the deck on the Neat & Cool crag (see main photo) so that by the time you reach the top you're experiencing great exposure for such an easy climb.

CORN FLAKES, 5.6

Another moderate climb at this crag, Corn Flakes is a real trip up huge, juggy flakes next to Neat & Cool: you can see it's overhanging section in the left-hand photo.  The top (right) is the only real tricky section but with good pro, it's piece of cake....
