1. Road Records from 5  to 42.2 km

On this site the North Carolina Section of USATF ( NCUSATF )  keeps the North Carolina road-racing records , which are similar to national age-group records. ( The latter are in tables with single-age records. Note that NCUSATF does not keep records for NC similar to the national single-age records. ) The NC records are sorted in three ways:

                                                                               1. By race distance, sex, and age group.

                                                                               2. By sex, age group, and race distance.

                                                                               3. By date since 1 January 02.

2. Road Records for the Mile

NCUSATF has kept NC records for the mile for several years. Very recently USATF also started keeping national records, but performances in the mile still do not count for national ranking.

A new mile road race (NC07108NW) was held on 28 April 2007 at High Point as part of the Sid Lenger Wellness Runs, and another, Magnificent Mile (NC07111NW), was held 9 September 2007 in Raleigh.
3. Submission of North Carolina and National Records to NCUSATF
Race or finish line directors should send the following information to nfwood@hotmail.com :
1. Timing data for the new record. Two and preferably three stopped times for the new record holder.
As an alternative to this requirement, submit times and running numbers obtained during the race from selected runners using at least one secondary timer. Of course it is preferable to include the race winner in the selected runners.

In the case of chip timing where only a check on the accuracy of the primary timer is required, the data from only a very few selected runners are required.

2. Complete set of race results. Place race name, location, date, and distance at the top of the results. Send as an email attachment or web site reference. Include running numbers if timing of selected runners is needed.

3. Course map. This can be sent as a small attachment or faxed.

4. All parts of USAT&F Recognition Form. This can be downloaded as a text file, completed, and sent as an attachment.

4. Road Race-Walking Records

NCUSATF has kept race-walking records for NC similar to national records kept by USATF.
