The Palo Alto Kendo Dojo has been practicing the art of Kendo, Japanese fencing, in Palo Alto, California, since 1987. We are affiliated regionally with the Northern California Kendo Federation and nationally with the All United States Kendo Federation.

Our members range in age from 7 to 60+ and represent a wide array of types: students (elementary to graduate school), technicians, engineers, musicians, people with strange senses of humor, mothers, writers, grandfathers, doctors (PhDs and medical), lawyers, accountants, and even a rocket scientist. Membership in the PAKD is open to anyone interested in learning kendo or improving their kendo abilities. All skill levels are welcome.
