Cold remedies
Aconite
Early stages of an illness often within hours after exposure to the cold, at the sign of the 'first shiver.' Aconite is helpful for the sudden onset of intense symptoms that range from a profuse runny nose, chills, fever, flus, coughs, to earaches and sore throats. The person is thirsty, restless, and often nervous.
Allium cepa
Watery discharge from the nose (drips like a faucet) and the eyes. Discharges flow in a warm room. However better in cold air. Cold with cough.
Ars alb
Cold after taking cold foods, ice cream, curd. Discharges burning. Increases in the open air. No thirst and great fear.
Hepar sulph
Similar to Pulsatilla the mucous is thick, creamy, and yellow to green. However this person is chilly and wants to be covered and is thirsty for warm drinks. The mood is irritable, and difficult to get along with.
Pulsatilla
When mucous is of a creamy consistency ranging from pale yellow to green in color. The person is warm and wants to be undressed. They prefer cold drinks and are not thirsty. The Pulsatilla mood is characteristically clingy, emotional, and they want people around.
Mercurius
Cold in the damp weather or because of sunshine. Sneezing, thick greenish yellow pus-like discharge from the nose. Thirst for water.
Belladonna
Cold in damp weather/sunshine. Discharges either greenish-yellow of bloody. Severe throbbing headache. Face is red and hot.
Natrum mur
Cold with violent sneezing. Discharge is fluent from nose, eyes watery. Patient is better in cold, open air and by washing with cold water. Greasy face and skin.
Nux Vom.
stuffy nose, mostly at night and when you're outside, your nose runs during the day and in warm rooms, and you are impatient and easily angered
Sabadilla
If you can't stop sneezing, your nose itches, your eyes tear and you feel better outside
