FIRST AID
Arnica
 Trauma and shock. Pulled muscles or pain due to strain from lifting a weight, etc. Arnica is the best medicine for shock.
In case of accidents or any injury, the first thing to do is give a dose of Arnica 1M. This can be followed by doses of Arnica 6C, every 15 minutes.
 
Aconitum
 useful for the feeling of anxiety and panic from an accident or frightening or shocking events. This person is nervous, agitated and can't sit still. This remedy can really be used during an S.O.S.!  

Calendula
 A lotion can be prepared by dissolving the mother tincture of Calendula in clean water. This lotion can be used to dress wounds, injuries and any other external abrasions.
 
Hypericum
 To be used in case of injuries to any nerves or injuries to nerve-rich parts like fingers, toes, etc. Tingling sensation of injury is an indicator for Hypericum.
 
Ledum
 Ledum is given for any injuries or sprains, pulled ligaments, when the affected part is numb and there is relief by cold applications.
 
Ruta
 Ruta is given for muscles pulls of injuries resulting in torn ligaments
 
Rhus tox
 Rhus is indicated in cases of sprains, aches and pulled muscles particularly when the patient is better by moving about and feels worse after rest, esp. while getting up.
 
Apis
 Best medicine to be given for bee stings and insect bites. Ledum is also a very good remedy for treating insect bites
 
ASTHMA and BRONCHITIS
Carbo veg
 Breath cold, cold sweat on the limbs. Suffocation extreme - patient cries "Fan me, I want air". Excessive flatulence. Very helpful when patient is sinking.
 
Lachesis
 Asthma with flushes of heat, suffocation - wants to loosen clothes, particularly around the throat to prevent being suffocated. Cough and asthma increases during sleep.
 
Kali carbonica
 Wheezing, suffocation is worse at 3 am. Patient find it difficult to breath. Sitting up and leaning forward offers relief.
 
Ipecac
 Asthma with cough and spasms. Suffocation with severe accumulation of mucus. Extreme nausea. Patient vomits repeatedly, but there is no relief.
 
Antimonium tartaricum
 Asthma with great accumulation of mucus in the lungs. Wheezing and cough - a coarse rattling sound is heard. Inability to expectorate. Nausea and vomiting relieves asthma. Patient feels extremely sleepy.
 
Hepar sulph
 Cough severe, great difficultly in breathing. All complaints are worse by  the slightest change in weather or by cold air or a draft, but the patient is better in damp and wet weather.
 
Dulcamara
 Asthma in cold weather. Particularly when the weather changes from dry and warm to wet and cold. Lot of secretion of mucus.
 
Natrum sulphuricum
 Chronic asthma which is worse in damp and wet weather. Loose cough, with soreness and pain in chest, particularly in left side. Cough hurts so much that the patient has to jump up in bed and hold the left side of the chest for relief. Sometimes, patient feels like shooting himself.
 
Senega
 Asthma - wheezing and suffocation. Cough with great mucus. Very helpful for old patients.
 
BACKACHE
Arnica
 Bruised sore feeling. Back ache from lifting heavy weights or sudden sprain. Bed feels hard.
 
Bryonia
 Rheumatism. Back ache. The patient feels worse while moving about. Relief is obtained by resting. There is relief by lying on the painful part or by applying pressure.
 
Rhus tox
 Restless patient. Stiff and sore muscles due to strain. Patient is restless. Worse by resting. Increase in pain after immediately getting up in the morning or when getting up after rest. Better my moving around or by warm applications.
 
Nux vomica
 Backache while lying in bed. Patient must sit up to turn over, cannot turn directly. Often backache is because of piles or constipation or leading a sedentary life.
 
Kali carb
 Stitching pains. Pains shooting from lower part of chest to the back. Sweat, weakness and flatulence. In women, backache worse before and during menses.
 
Zinc
 Aching in neck, cervical muscles. Increased ache after doing some work. The patient feels worse after resting, but is better by moving around. Nervous weakness.
 
CONSTIPATION
Alumina
 Constipation due to dryness and inactivity of the intestines. Stools accumulate but great difficulty in evacuating stools, no desire. Strains to pass the stool - clay-like stools sticks to the rectum.
 
Bryonia
 Dryness of membranes in the intestine causes problems. There is no desire to pass stools. Hard and dry stools (like burnt). Headache due to constipation - worse on moving the head.
 
Graphites
 Hard stools which are lumpy and joined together by strands - slimy threads. Strains to pass them. Drinking hot milk relieves patient. Skin problems - itch, burning.
 
Nux vomica
 Constipation due to mental strain or leading a sedentary life. Constipation due to abuse of alcohol or coffee. Frequent desire to pass stools, but is ineffectual, nothing comes out. Sensitive nature of patient. Worse in cold weather.
 
Silica
 Stools retained in the intestine. Great straining but stools that come out of the rectum recedes back. Patient has to remove them with fingers. Prefers warm weather but likes cold.
 
Senna
 Constipation accompanied by severe pain in the abdomen, mainly in the region of the liver. Loss of appetite, does not eat well.
