Intro: A Place in Space is not the first of Cristina's attempts at a comic book, but it is certainly the one she is most committed to. She began developing the plot and characters in 2002 and has begun work on the first issue of the series. Progress is slow due to her other commitments and demands on her time. So far only eight pages and the cover are finished, but Cristina is determined to make enough to send to a publisher.

Synopsis: The story follows one year in the lives of two human siblings, an alien princess and her robot bodyguard, and their friends and enemies from Earth and outer space. It begins in Farmington, Kansas, a small rural community where nothing exciting ever happens until a spaceship crashes on one of the farms. Soon the ship is the talk of the town, as well as the alien girl and the small robot that came out of it.

Soon twelve-year-old Caleb Roswell and his little sister Millie find the two aliens hiding in the woods near their house and take them under their wings. Before long more alien visitors and some mysterious agents come looking for the girl and her robot. The rest of the story is a combination of a sci-fi chase adventure and childhood romance comedy. Ren the alien girl and her robot Lux must blend in with humans to avoid capture, but their naive and curious natures always get them into trouble. Caleb and Millie must be responsible for the confused aliens and find themselves playing babysitters to them. Meantime Caleb and Ren are slowly attracted to one another despite their species barrier, confusing everybody even more.
