This is a hike from 1999 that we had taken. We lost the pictures we took but recently found them. This turned out to be a monster, with our maps showing an 11 mile hike, we thought ! Well, with a blow down of thousands of trees from a micro burst (mini tornados) a few years earlier, this ended up being more like a 20 mile hike. Our hikes are bushwacking adventures and this was a real challenge. We soon learned that a clearing up ahead was no clearing but a twisted mass of fallen trees we had to try and maneuver around. We had to do this alot and at times crawling on our stomach's with 40 pound packs to get through.

We were about two weeks to late in missing the black flies. We needed nets during the day to keep the swarms from eating us alive !
