Adirondack Outdoor Life

This is a Canoe trip taken with my brother Al and five other guys Lee, Keith, Carl, Gary and Greg in New York State's Adirondack mountain region. We started this outing friday September 27th 2002 with four canoes entering the water on a rainy afternoon and headed home monday afternoon from the DEC launch at Paul Smith's College. We had wet conditions till about noon on saturday and after that it stayed fairly sunny and nice. This particular outing is called the canoe trip of seven carries (portages) although we only did six of the seven. I hope you enjoy the photos taken on this adventure as well as my many other Web pages linked to this site. There will be a map showing the entry point and the take out point so you can get an idea of where in the Adirondacks we were. Enjoy!

Carl getting the final dry packs taken care of. We reached our first camp spot late friday afternoon and would go to bed early. We were pretty wet and it continued to rain till later that evening so no fire and not alot to do. Our goals were to eat and try to stay dry and warm.
