Amber is found in various locations
around the world. It is the petrified
resin of ancient trees which grew in
the Paleocene and Eocene Epochs.
Baltic Amber formed about 60 to 35
million years ago around the Baltic
Sea Region of Northern Europe.
Dominican Amber formed about 50
to 35 million years ago on the island
now called the Dominican Republic.
Colombian Amber is younger, possibly
from the Pleistocene Epoch, 1.6 million
years ago.
