Sunday June 1 "YouGotta Have Friends" An important study has shown that Americans are becoming more lonely and isolated. We will discuss two articles, one, is a commentary by Robert Putnam, author of Bowling Alone on the nature of this problem and possible remedies both individually and through community.
Sunday June 15 "MuslimRebel Sisters" At Odds With Islam and Each Other. We will discuss this NYT article about Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Irshad Manji, two of the most prominent and outspoken critics of what they and others see as “mainstream Islam.” Ms. Hirsi Ali’s autobiography, “Infidel,” was a New York Times best seller.
