2006 Welcome To All

The 2006 racing season at VIR is now upon us and I would like to say Welcome back, glad to have you and your families, friends and special guests who one day may become one of us. We have reduced our racing schedule again in 2006 to a total of 9 events. However we have also expanded our venues to include Rockingham in June. . Our Fire & Rescue school for 2006 was a success, with 45 in attendance and special help by David Turner in our hand signal section. Thanks David, you are a great help to me. See the note below for our first event, look out at our NCR Web site and the worker page for the schedule, and signup for another great year of racing and the professionalism you each bring to our sport. I am very proud to say I am your Flag Chief, regardless of the specialty you work, I am proud of each and everyone of you who help us anyway and everyway you do.
2006 events at VIR:

Busy times ahead once again for the NCR and we need a lot of help. Everyone always does a wonderful job, please come on out and give a hand at all our 2006 events, including the contracted non-SCCA ones.  Please pre-register from the ncrscca.com Web site for our next event, the March Memories, GrandAm in April and Al Fairer SARRC/MARRS in May. That rounds out our spring schedule with summer then upon us.  We need a lot of great workers as we always do, please signup, bring a friend to train, we welcome you with our open NCR arms.

Flag Meeting for the each event will be 7:30 a.m. at the false grid barn area unless otherwise indicated. Always look to the NCR Web site, schedule section, for individual event supps and schedules to ensure you are aware of meeting times.
St Pete IRL Race:
The NCR will be represented in 2006 by Dwight Pardee and myself the weekend of March 30-April 2, 2006. This race, like the CART / SCCA race in 2002, will once again demonstrate and prove to the pro racing community what value our SCCA expertise brings to the table. I am really looking forward to seeing Danica do well in her 2nd IRL season in the Indy Car series, even though personally I wish it were in a CART car. Oh well, politics and money I will never see.
Special Yak Space:
Announcing on behalf of John Uftring, he has started an NCR Web space which you can yak track talk, techie talk, worker talk, etc... John has been the key creator here and has done a great job in getting this off the ground. Please join and see what everyone is yaking about: http://www.ncrscca.com/List%20Server%20Page.htm

Special Message from VIR received March 20,2002:

Rules and Regulations Concerning Track Gates

During all racing events, regardless of renting sanctioning body, all single and double gates must remain locked unless entering or exiting the gates. It is the responsibility of all racing officials to ensure gates do not remain unlocked, or dummie locked. Except for credentialed professional photographers and race officials, no others are authorized to be inside the green spectator fences. VIR track management reserves the right to take the appropriate actions to those violating these regulations.
