*If a phone has a problem, intermittent or not; Swap the phone, handset AND both cords with another phone. If the problem stays at that location you will need to call GTS,INC. If the problem moved with the phone its one of four components. First swap the handset back and test. Then the handset coil cord, test. Then the base (of the phone). Lastly the line cord. Now you know whats bad! Do you have a replacement? Cord, handset...? Is it just a switch? Compare with a working phone.
*Your system is dead, no lights on any phones. Is the KSU (Key Service Unit) pluged in? Is there power to that outlet? Plug a lamp into it. Still not working? Try booting the system, unplug for 10 sec. STILL not up? Now call GTS,INC. Leave a phone number where we can call you back! A cell phone?
*Phone line has noise or is out? This is a hard one. If you call GTS, INC and we find it’s a QWEST problem, you get a bill from us and you still have to call it in to QWSET. Now, if you call QWEST and they find it’s good coming into your building, you’ll get a bill from QWEST and us to fix it! The choice in yours to make. Is the niose on just one line and all your phones? Then it’s probably QWEST. Good luck. You can report the problem to them with the link below.
