My Apprentice...... Anna Ramos Lipka
In 2003 I was awarded a grant from the Maryland Historical Society to train an apprentice. Several of my students easily qualified. However, they just as I was at their age, raising families and real job necessaties had to decline. As it turned out, my daughter in law, Anna Ramos Lipka had natural talent I was unaware of and a real interest in Folk art especially screen painting. It was natural that I chose her as my apprentice. This summer I expect to teach some of my young grandchildren.
