Another Kind of Gold
Thomas Coburn is running away from his past. A disastrous marriage and a ruined career as a surgeon have poisoned his taste for city life. He seeks refuge in the small township of Port Gordon, close to the sea and the magnificent Flinders Ranges.
Upon purchasing a vacant medical practice, he finds himself at the centre of intrigue. His predecessor died in suspicious circumstances and there is talk of a mysterious and rare mineral deposit in the Ranges. Land rights are at issue, and Thomas becomes involved in a struggle between developers and aboriginal elders. He also must come to terms with his feelings for an attractive female geologist.
An exciting tale of murder, morality and passion.
