I still have the version that uses "ADONAI".  While we may worship corporately, prayer is still a very personal thing, between The Master and an individual. Therefore, even with any arguments I can present that I think are Biblical about this or any other issue, Ruach HaKodesh would have to Guide a person to change his or her thinking.
