THE MESSIAH WOULD FUNCTION AS A PRIEST (KOHEN) #2

Isaiah 52:13...

hinah ya.s'kiyl ,av'diy yarum v'ni.sa` v'gavah m'`od

Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

NOTE: Anti-missionarries often say that the servant here is National Isra'el. They point-out that the Hebrew word "`eved" or "`evediy" is on other passages in Isaiah where it refers to National Isra'el. However, they conveniently ignore all the passages where this word is used in The Book of Isaiah of other peoples, including The Messiah Himself!
For instance:It is used of Isaiah himself in 20:2, Eliakim in 22:20, of King David in 37:35, and of The Messiah in 42:1, 49:5,6. In 49:5, 6, the context is clearly that of The Messiah and it cannot be National Isra'el--BECAUSE there, the servant is said to restore Yisra'el!

So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

Isaiah 53:1...

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of ADONAI revealed?

NOTE: The Speaker(s) here are righteous Jews, perhaps Isaiah and his comrads. From this verse all the way down through verse 12, this is the case. Please keep that in mind.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken for them.

NOTE: He died, then was resurrected back to life. Just as Mal'akhi
