1.Chandra
Nadi, Surya Nadi in Vastushastra
Ida,
the Chandra Nadi or the Moon Stream has direct
relationship with the energy source directions - the
North and the East. This stream showers on the Vastu the
blessings of all the good things, bliss, happiness,
contentment, peace, and tranquillity. Pingala, the Surya
Nadi or the Sun Stream has relationship with sink
directions, i.e., the South and the West. This stream is
harbinger of all the evil things, curses, sorrows,
defeat, discontent, grief, and torture.

Vastushastra
applications involve reinforcement of Ida, the
Moon stream, and reduction of Pingala or the Sun
stream.
Vastushastra
principles add the virtues of the source
directions and subtract the vices of the sink
directions.
Vastushastra
is technique for allowing free flow of energy
from the North and the East directions, while
blocking the negative energies from the South and
the West directions.
Vastushastra
is an art of developing a cosmic envelope around
the Vastu that can provide rhythm, harmony, and
the tranquillity to the household.
The
general approach to the ancient sources of
knowledge has become fragmentary in this era of
specialisation. Yogashastra, Astrology,
Vastushastra, Ayurved, and Sangeet are all
sub-branches of Darshanshastra. But, over the
years these sub-branches have evolved as separate
disciplines and are studied as such. This is
unfortunate, since the key to ancient Indian
knowledge about science lies in the logistics of
Darshanshastra, and fragmentation of knowledge is
depriving the present generation its rightful
heritage and benefits thereof. In the modern era,
study of science has its own importance. Each and
every discipline including Yoga is being
subjected to scientific tests. There is nothing
wrong in this exercise. But, the key issue here
is, can the modern western science developed over
last 300 years can be used as the only yardstick
for assessing super sciences like Vastushastra
formulated over 5000 years ago? A time has come
when a broader perspective is needed to study the
ancient Indian sciences including Vastushastra.
